Site Settings

Configure a site's name, slug, visibility, and metadata.

Access site settings from the editor header → Settings, or from the team dashboard by clicking the settings icon on a site card.

General

Name — The display name for the site. Shown in the dashboard, the editor, and optionally in the site navigation. Can be changed at any time.

Slug — The path segment that identifies this site in the URL:

https://your-team.baseblocks.dev/[site-slug]

Changing the site slug changes the URL for every page in the site. Existing links and bookmarks will break. There is no automatic redirect.

Meta description — A short description used in browser tab previews, social sharing cards (Open Graph), and search engine snippets. Keep it under 160 characters.

Visibility

Controls who can view the live (published) site. Four options:

ModeWho can view
PublicAnyone with the URL
PrivateSigned-in team members only
Link-onlyAnyone with the exact URL (not discoverable)
PasswordAnyone with the access code

See Site Visibility for details on each mode.

Deleting a site

Site deletion is available from the bottom of Site Settings. Deleting a site removes all pages, layouts, documents, and snapshots permanently.

Site deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no recovery path after deletion.
